The DTM connector line was developed to address the need for lower-amperage, multi-pin connectors. These "mini" connectors work with size 20 contacts (16-22 AWG wires) and have a maximum current capacity of 7.5A, making them suitable for smaller wire gauge applications.

The DTM connector housings are rectangular, thermoplastic, and feature an integrated latch for mating, as well as wedgelocks to confirm contact alignment and retention. They are available in 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, and 12-cavity arrangements, with an operating temperature range of -40°C to 125°C.

The size 20 stamped contacts used in the DTM connectors are part of a versatile series, including DTM, DRC, DRB, H20, H30, DTV, STRIKE, and Jiffy Splice. These tin-plated, nickel-based contacts have a crimp type of "F Crimp" and a current rating of 7.5A (16-20 AWG) or 5A (22 AWG).

To maintain the seal integrity of the DTM connectors, any unused cavities must be filled with the appropriate size sealing plug, which are available in various configurations (ST6327, ST6327-2, ST6327-3, ST6327-4, ST6327-6, ST6327-8).
